At no time within living memory have we started the grape harvest in August !!!!! And while this has been the case for the majority of vineyards throughout France, this year the Champagne Region has not been left out, not any longer. This latest harvest has provided us with ripe grapes of an exceptional quality very rarely attained. Unfortunately, this harvest will be talked of for a long time because it would have been one of the smaller vintages of the last thirty years and totally atypical …In fact, it is the result of a year's unusual weather. From 11 degrees in April to 44 degrees in August, our vines have truly seen all the extremes from frost to heat waves….Happily, Nature showed clemency and provided a little rain towards the end of August, …the rain , however, was able to swell the grapes successfully because it had arrived at exactly the right moment. So, despite all these vicissitudes, you will find the fabulous nectar throughout our different champagnes, three short years from now,

If you want to discover the region, it is absolutely vital that you reserve this week-end and come to CELLES/OURCE for the magnificent 'Discovery of the Route Du Champagne Festival'.
On this occasion, our Village will become vibrant throughout the week-end. You will be able to stroll, a 'Flute Passport' in your hand, discovering all the richness of our beautiful and sparkling Village (Tastings, Visits to Caves, the bustle in the streets, dancing in the evenings)….the programme can be tailored to your personal needs and wishes.
In fact, CELLES/OURCE itself has the greatest number of Champagne producers. You will find 45 Champagne Houses providing all the ambience of a traditional village.
While waiting for this Grand Festival, you won't be forgotten and , as is our custom, we hope to welcome you again at our numerous outlets . Similarly, we will not forget to send you our new October 2003 price list promptly, which will be the same as at March, 2003.
